Parent Community

Great importance is placed on building effective partnerships with our parents, who are such an integral part of the LCC community.

All parents are welcome to participate in a number of capacities at the school. Whether keeping time at a debating tournament or joining a committee, parents are valued members of the school community. No gesture is considered too small, no effort insignificant.

With the support of the Advancement Office, parent activities are managed by the LCC Parents’ Association (LCCPA). The association is a volunteer-run organization, spearheaded by an executive committee whose purpose is to bring together all parents as a community in support of the school’s mission and objectives for the ultimate benefit of the students.

Volunteers are vital to the success of the school. Here is a sampling of where you might want to lend a hand:

 

Staff Appreciation

An annual parent-led event to show gratitude to faculty and staff for all that they do in support of LCC students

LCC Store

 

Lending a hand in the store provides a great opportunity to meet other parents and students. All proceeds from sales go to the LCC Bursary Fund.

 

 

Grandparents' & Grandfriends' Day

A special day of activities for Junior School grandparents & grandfriends organized by LCC parents and the school

Sporting Events

Volunteers organize snacks for athletes and parents attending tournaments or special sporting events

Family BBQ

Our parent volunteers plan this community-wide kick-off to the school year, providing parents, students, faculty and staff with the opportunity to connect

Career Speakers Series

An opportunity for alumni, parents and friends of LCC to share professional journeys and words of wisdom with Senior School students

Book Fair

Volunteers support this annual two-day fundraiser for the library

Art Projects & Seasonal Decor

Parents share their creativity with a variety of art projects that support community initiatives and seasonal decor needs

Junior School Class Parent

Parents serve as representatives for a Junior School class and share information with other parents
