Faculty

Outstanding teachers make LCC what it is. With an unwavering dedication to their craft, expertise in a variety of domains, and real-world experience, they ensure a rich and rewarding student experience.

At the heart of the LCC experience is the conviction that learning occurs both inside and outside of the classroom. Regardless of grade level or the context in which teaching and learning occur, three elements guarantee the success of our faculty:

Professionalism

Teachers are dedicated to their craft, possess individual talents and skills, demonstrate sound judgment and, most importantly, are committed to continuous improvement that goes beyond the minimum professional standards.

Respect

LCC values the contribution of each faculty member to the success of the school. Our teachers adhere to high standards of collegiality in their daily interactions with all members of the LCC community.

A Sense of Community

A collaborative spirit and sense of personal responsibility among faculty are essential to the success of the school. We build a supportive learning community to harness the intellectual and creative energies of our teachers, which ultimately improve classroom practice.

The Professional Learning Communities, introduced in 2013, give teachers the opportunity to collaborate in teams in order to share teaching objectives.

Many Hats

LCC faculty members are more than teachers. They are also devoted advisors and coaches. As advisors, they advocate for students, support and counsel them on both academic and personal issues, and help them through some of the challenges of adolescence. As coaches, they not only teach the skills and techniques required for any given sport, they also impart attitudes and ideals of sportsmanship and fair play.
