College & University Advising

College and university advising is available to all LCC students and parents. Students in grade 11 and Pre-U meet regularly with the university advisor. The advisor meets with students individually to discuss interests and talents in academics, sports and extra-curricular activities, in relation to their applications to colleges and universities.

The advisor has a number of resources that are useful in helping each student choose his or her next school and programme of study. The advisor's goal is to help integrate the student's background and interests to the factors that might be important in choosing the next school.

The College and University Advisor also:

  • maintains a library (books, videos) of post-secondary options
  • liaises with admission officers at post-secondary institutions
  • hosts information evenings for post-secondary schooling
  • prepares materials such as transcripts and letters of recommendation
  • leads guidance classes for the grade 11 students

For further information contact the College and University Advisor.
