Each year, the LCC Reads Committee—a group of students and LCC faculty, including our Head Librarian and Head of the English Department—select one book for the school community to read over the summer. Students from Middle School through Pre-U and all school staff read the same selection which is discussed when classes resume in the fall. The author is also invited to visit the school and discuss the book with students.
LCC Reads for 2012-2013
The LCC Reads Committee is pleased to announce that the school-wide read for 2013-14 is Caught in the Crossfire by Alan Gibbons. Set in a small town in England, life is anything but quiet for the teenagers who live there. Hatred and prejudice lead to shocking and electrifying events. An extraordinary book!
