Great importance is placed on building effective partnerships with our parents, who are such an integral part of the LCC community.
All parents are welcome to participate in a number of capacities at the school. Whether keeping time at a debating tournament or joining a committee, parents are valued members of the school community. No gesture is considered too small, no effort insignificant.
With the support of the Advancement Office, parent activities are managed by the LCC Parents’ Association (LCCPA). The association is a volunteer-run organization, spearheaded by an executive committee whose purpose is to bring together all parents as a community in support of the school’s mission and objectives for the ultimate benefit of the students.
Volunteers are vital to the success of the school. Here is a sampling of where you might want to lend a hand:
An annual parent-led event to show gratitude to faculty and staff for all that they do in support of LCC students
Lending a hand in the store provides a great opportunity to meet other parents and students. All proceeds from sales go to the LCC Bursary Fund.
A special day of activities for Junior School grandparents & grandfriends organized by LCC parents and the school
Volunteers organize snacks for athletes and parents attending tournaments or special sporting events
Our parent volunteers plan this community-wide kick-off to the school year, providing parents, students, faculty and staff with the opportunity to connect
An opportunity for alumni, parents and friends of LCC to share professional journeys and words of wisdom with Senior School students
Volunteers support this annual two-day fundraiser for the library
Parents share their creativity with a variety of art projects that support community initiatives and seasonal decor needs
Parents serve as representatives for a Junior School class and share information with other parents
A great opportunity to help out with special projects and support school drama productions
Lend a hand to support the LCC library staff
Our parents act as a point of contact to help new families integrate into the LCC community
