At every LIONfest, we celebrate graduation years marking a five-year milestone anniversary (10th, 15th, 20th…). Athletic activities are planned over the weekend and the headmaster hosts our graduates celebrating their 60th anniversary reunion.

Winterfest Alumni Hockey Tournament

Our annual alumni hockey tournament features eight teams in two divisions vying for bragging rights! More importantly, the weekend is a celebration of hockey at LCC. There is a great sense of camaraderie and spirit throughout the weekend as alumni come together from across North America.

In addition to the hockey tournament, the Senior Hockey team hosts an opponent in our annual “showcase” game. The arena is always packed with alumni, students, staff and parents. A luncheon is also held during which the G.B. Maughan ’59 Award is presented to an alum, in recognition of his or her commitment to alumni and LCC Hockey.

Rob Nihon ’92 Memorial Alumni Basketball Tournament

The Rob Nihon ’92 Memorial Alumni Basketball Tournament is an annual 3-on-3 alumni basketball tournament, and is named in memory of Rob Nihon, a participant and organizer of the weekly LCC alumni basketball “run.” Held every spring, the tournament is open to all alumni.

Rob Tipney Alumni Soccer Tournament

The Rob Tipney Alumni Soccer Tournament is held each year on the same weekend as our LIONfest homecoming event. Previously known simply as the Alumni Soccer Tournament, it was renamed in 2015 to honour retiring Middle School Director and long-time Senior Soccer Coach Rob Tipney.

Young Alumni Pub Night

Every December, we host our graduates from the past 10 years for a pub night with current and former teachers. As many as 200 alumni attend this event annually to reconnect, reminisce and share their latest news.

LCC hosts reunions in locations across Canada and in many places around the world, including New York City, Boston, LA, San Francisco, Kingston (ON), Toronto, Ottawa, London (UK), Calgary, Vancouver, Victoria and Halifax.

If you are interested in proposing or hosting an event, please let us know. We are always looking for ways to bring alumni together.

Networking and Socializing Opportunities

In conjunction with the Alumni Office, the Alumni Executive Committee hosts a variety of events to allow alumni in Montreal to connect, network and mingle. Join us at our Christmas cocktail reception, scotch and wine tasting events and breakfast meetings.
