David bensadoun ’87, Pre-U '88, Chair of the Board

David has been the chief executive officer of the ALDO Group since 2017 and is the fourth generation of his family to work in the shoe business. Leading up to his appointment as CEO, he worked in almost every corner of the business, including operations, buying, IT, headed the Call It Spring brand and created a wholesale division of the ALDO brand. A forward-thinking leader with progressive ideas, David’s commitment to corporate social responsibility has seen the company instill a low carbon strategy and become the first fashion footwear and accessories company in the world to be certified as climate neutral for its offices and stores. He is a firm believer in hands-on philanthropy, and he has succeeded in pairing two of his greatest passions: his drive to give back and rally racing, by participating in a series of international racing events that helped raise over $200,000 for AIDS research. David and his wife Isabelle have three children: Connor ’28, Sloan ’26 and Logan.

Jason Ades ’02

Jason is the co-founder and Director of Operations of Artiffex, a technology company focused on automation in the accounting industry. Jason previously worked as an investment advisor at RBC as well as a treasury analyst for a private family office in Montreal, before starting Artiffex in 2015. 

Jason first joined LCC as part of the Junior School in grade 6 (1996-1997) and fully immersed himself in all that the school had to offer until graduating with the Class of 2002. Jason earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance from the John Molson School of Business. Jason has served as member of the LCC Alumni Executive Committee since 2020 and will assume the role of president this coming fall.

Jason and his wife Beverley have two children, Harry and Olivia.

David amiel

David is Co-CEO of Maroline Distributing, one of Canada’s largest distributors of luxury kitchen appliances. David earned a bachelor’s degree from Carleton University and a Certificate in Marketing and Advertising Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology. David is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Jewish General Hospital Foundation after having completed a term as President of the Board of Directors at Federation CJA (2017-2019). Additionally, David is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Foundation (since 2019) and is also a member of the LCC Finance Committee. David and his wife Robyn have three teenage children – Sydney ’22, Pre-U ’23, Jaclyn ’24, and Aidan ’25.

John Antoniou ’84

Dr. John Antoniou is an orthopaedic surgeon at the Jewish General Hospital and the research director of the Orthopaedic Research Laboratory at the Lady Davis Institute. He is a full tenured professor of surgery and research director of McGill University’s Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. John graduated from LCC in 1984 and McGill's medical school in 1991. He did his orthopaedic residency in 1997 and PhD in experimental surgery in 1999, both at McGill. He completed three fellowships in Seattle (University of Washington), Chicago (Rush), and Philadelphia (Penn) before returning to work at McGill University. He was invited to present his work at over 250 international conferences, workshops, symposiums and courses, and over 500 abstracts were presented at national and international meetings. He published and co-authored over 200 original articles in peer-reviewed journals. John recently served as the president of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association and Canadian Orthopaedic Research Society. He is chair of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association’s communications committee and is co-chair of the Orthopaedic Research Society’s International Combined Orthopaedic Research Society committee. He is a scientific reviewer for journals, conferences, grant task forces and serves on several editorial boards. He is the recipient of several national and international prestigious awards including the FRSQ’s chercheur national. John and his wife Dr. Johanna Choremis have two boys: Anthony ’23 and Constantine.

Andrea Arthurs

Andrea Arthurs has been the owner/director of a children’s enrichment and animation company in Montreal for the last eight years. She previously worked in research, editing, and publishing at the Canadian Centre for Architecture and the Art Institute of Chicago. Andrea has degrees from Concordia University (BSc), McGill University (Graduate Diploma in Management), University of Toronto (BA), and The Royal Conservatory of Music. Andrea has volunteered at LCC in various capacities over the past 13 years. She and her husband Robert Rambally ’81 have three children: Catherine ’18, Pre-U ’19, Nicholas ’20 and James ’23, Pre-U '24.

Kristina Ashqar ’02, Pre-U '03

Kristina is a partner at PSB Boisjoli LLP specializing in audit and assurance services. Kristina has been working at the firm in public practice since 2007 and her client base includes owner-managed businesses from a diverse range of industries, including real estate, financial services, distribution, construction, manufacturing and transportation. She plays a key role in the administration and oversight of the firm’s audit department and is actively committed to recruitment and the professional development of staff members. Kristina joined the LCC community in grade 7. As the recipient of the All-Around Prize in grade 11 and the Top Female Athlete Award in Pre-University, Kristina was involved in every aspect of student life. As a student leader, Kristina played a role in helping to facilitate the return of the house system in the fall of 2002 and then served as the first ever head of Webster House during her Pre-University year. Kristina earned her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) at Queen’s University in 2007 and returned to Montreal to complete the diploma in chartered accountancy at Concordia University. Kristina obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation in 2011. She has served on the LCC Foundation Board as treasurer since 2017 and was involved with the Foundation since 2014.

ryan blatt '89

Ryan is a seasoned construction executive bringing over 30 years of experience in the construction and development field. He has spent the last 25 years working at Canderel, one of Canada’s leading privately owned developers and has delivered many large-scale commercial and residential high rise developments. He previously has sat on LCC's ad-hoc facilities committee where he helped guide the school on various construction projects. His father attended Lower Canada College and his son, Ethan '27 is a current student. In the past, Ryan has sat on the board of the CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal, chaired the real estate committee at Solomon Schechtor Academy and currently sits on the board of the Mount Sinai Hospital Corporation.

Pascale Boyer

Pascale has been CFO and Vice President of Operations for ATTITUDE® since 2009. She plays a key role in the administration and supervises the human resources of the company. ATTITUDE® is a Montreal-based company that aims to revolutionize the beauty and personal care industry with clean, performance proven products in eco-innovative packaging to reduce plastic. The products are EWG VERIFIED™ and formulated with advanced, naturally derived ingredients to deliver the best for the body and the planet. 

Pascale obtained a law degree from the Université de Sherbrooke and admitted to the bar in 2000. She also completed an MBA in finance from the Université du Québec in Montreal. Before joining the ATTITUDE® family, Pascale worked 10 years for the Royal Bank of Canada in the area of SME financing after completing her legal internship.

Pascale recently joined the Finance Committee of LCC. Pascale and her husband Jean-François are the parents of Rafaël ’28.

Keren Dolan

Keren Dolan is the President of Premier Service, a North America-wide, award-winning customer experience organization providing mystery shopping, merchandising and brand audit solutions.  

Driving all business development, client success and recruiting strategy, Keren strives to exceed customer expectations both in front of, and behind the scenes.

Keren is often invited to speak at business and development conferences about the importance of customer experience and keeping brand promises. She has also been interviewed by Canadian Retailer Magazine, Chatelaine Magazine, The Gazette, La Presse, and Radio Canada as a subject matter expert on customer experience and current trends in exceeding customer expectations.

Keren has a passion for family, friendship, travel, nature, and Hygge. She has been a volunteer parent at LCC since 2016 and is the incoming chair of the LCCPA for the 2023-2024 academic year.  She and her husband, Kamal Panesar, are the proud and adoring parents of two LCC students, Devin ’28 and Shiloh ’32.

Laurence Duguay

Laurence is the chief executive officer of the Martin Family Initiative, a private not-for-profit organization committed to improving education, health and overall well-being outcomes of Indigenous children in Canada. She is currently leading the Model School Literacy Project which is focused on improving early literacy achievement within the broader context of school improvement. Supported by innovative use of technology, the network is unique – a first-of-its-kind forum assembled to improve early literacy and promote school success for First Nations children while enabling Indigenous schools to lead and take control of the discussions around the education of their children. Laurence graduated from the University of Montreal with a degree in medical biology and a law degree. She was selected as a clerk of the Supreme Court of Canada and worked for Justice Morris Fish. Following her term, she joined the Employment and Labour Group at Stikeman Elliot in their Montreal office. She has three children: Ethan ’23, Pre-U '24, Liam ’25 and Finn ’28.

sheri elefant

Sheri proclaims her life's greatest accomplishment is her children. Originally from New York, she began her professional life in advertising where she worked on product launches and media negotiations in a fast-paced multi-million dollar industry. Her decision to leave advertising was not difficult, as the greatest and most challenging opportunity of her life lay ahead - raising her kids. Sheri's non-profit career began as co-founder of the Trevor Williams Kids Foundation. She currently serves as director of development for the Mada Centre, a non-profit organization that provides food security and personal provisions to the Montreal community. Prior to this, Sheri co-founded a 21st century non-profit sustainability learning space called Genvironment. Further, she is an acting advisor for Montreal Community Cares Foundation, an organization that builds resilent youth through the power of sports, education and community. Sheri is passionate about creating social value, putting youth - our future changemakers - at the forefront of social issues, and integrating impact into anything she puts her hands on. Sheri holds a Bachelor of Science from Boston University and an MBA in Social Enterprise from University of Fredericton. As well as a Harvard certificate in Non-Profit Board Governance, she recently completed an ESG Competent Boards Designation. Sheri's husband Steven is an LCC alum from the Class of 1979, as are both her children: Samantha '10, Pre-U '11 and David '12, Pre-U' 13.

Harley Greenspoon ’90

Harley is the chief operating officer at OnDeck Canada. Prior to joining OnDeck, Harley was a director and co-founder of several financial technology businesses including SterlingCard Payment Solutions and Evolocity Financial Group, which combined with OnDeck in 2019. Harley previously practiced corporate law in New York City at Davis Polk & Wardwell. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (HBA) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and civil and common law degrees from McGill University. Harley serves as a member of the LCC Board’s Strategic Planning Committee and is a member of the LCC Corporation. Harley and his wife, Marcy, have three daughters: Hannah ’20, Lily ’22 and Carolyn.

constance guindo

Constance was a member of LCC’s Strategic Planning & Advancement Committees from 2015 to 2018, and she co-developed the LCC graduating class gift initiative. She currently also serves on the board of Speakeasy Stage Company. She holds degrees from the NY Institute of Technology(BSc in Computer Science), Columbia University (MBA), and Harvard (Masters of Education in Education Policy & Management). Her professional areas of expertise include management, education, marketing, PR, media, tech and STEAM. Constance, a US citizen, has lived in five foreign countries and is currently based in Boston. She has two children: Aissa ’16, Pre-U ’17 and Aly ’18.

Karyn Lassner

Karyn currently works at Show & Tell Fashion. She graduated from McGill University with a degree in Industrial Relations with a specialty in Human Resource Management. She is a longstanding member of LCC’s Advancement Committee, Leadership Development Committee, and was a Middle School Representative for the LCCPA. Karyn has co-chaired the LCC Junior School graduation twice, volunteered as a class parent for many years, and has served as Chair of the Teacher Appreciation Event at the school. Active in the community, Karyn chaired the Montreal Children’s Hospital Ball and has served as a Member of the Cabinet of the Montreal Children’s Hospital for the MUHC. She also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for Federation CJA. Karyn and her husband, Andrew, have two children: Max ’22, Pre-U '23 and Ava ’24.

Mark Pascal ’92

Mark Pascal is president & CEO of Kombi Sports Inc., a leading winter accessories brand. He is the 4th generation in his family company that started in 1911. Mark has vast experience in manufacturing and distribution across the world. He oversees the company operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. Kombi’s goal is dedicated to being unique, partnering with supply chain and retail, and simplifying consumers' buying decisions by focusing on their needs. Kombi has been the recipient of awards, including the Alpha contest winner for manufacturer of the year and company of the year, Townies of Merit award, and ISPO Munich awards for rebranding and product innovation. Kombi’s caring values go beyond keeping families warm inside and out, but making sure that Kombi provides a caring and respectful work environment. In the last five years Mark has focused on elevating the “Kombi family work environment” which has earned them two ‘Great Place to Work Canada’ awards. Mark is an LCC ‘lifer’, starting in grade 3 in 1984 and graduating in 1992. Mark has served as a member of the finance committee since 2017. He and his wife, Jean, have three children: Shane ’26, Mason ’26, and Emma ’31.

Costa Ragas ’01, Pre-U ’02

Costa is a partner at Fasken, a leading international law firm. His practice focuses mainly on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, information technology and start-ups. Costa first entered LCC as a sixth-grade student in the Junior School (1995-1996), and was elected to serve as head boy in 2001. After finishing high school (Class of ’01) and Pre-University at LCC (Class of ’02), Costa attended Mount Allison University where he completed a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours with Distinction) in International Relations in 2006. He then attended McGill University’s Faculty of Law where he obtained his civil and common law degrees in 2010. Costa has served on the LCC Alumni Executive Committee since 2006 and has been a member of the LCC Corporation since 2009. He has also participated on a number of other LCC committees, including the LCC Board’s Long-Range Planning Committee and the Advancement Committee. Costa is the current president of the LCC Alumni Association. Costa and his wife Jessica have a daughter, Iliana ’33.

Caitlin Rose ’99

Caitlin is a partner at Fasken, a leading international law firm. She practices business law with an emphasis on mergers & acquisitions and securities. She obtained both civil and common law degrees from McGill University, and holds a Bachelor’s degree (honours) in Psychology from Queen’s University. Caitlin graduated from LCC in 1999, having joined the school in its inaugural year of coeducation in 1995. She was the first female student council president at the school and has served on various committees at the school since graduating, including Strategic Planning, Long Range Planning, the Centenary Committee, the Alumni Executive and the Alumnae Cocktail Dinatoire, celebrating 20 years of coeducation. In addition to the LCC Board of Governors, she is a member of the Board at St-Mary’s Hospital Foundation, the Centaur Theatre Group and Young Canadians in Finance.

Christopher Shannon, Pre-U ’76

Head of School Christopher Shannon joined LCC as headmaster in 2005. Since then he has overseen the implementation of three strategic plans, the school’s most successful fundraising initiatives and the construction of several state-of-the art learning facilities. Under his leadership, LCC has also developed a clear vision for campus and program development with an emphasis on program excellence, innovation and sustainability. This includes a more global orientation with adoption of IB curriculum in the high school, active membership in the Round Square international association of schools and broad student participation in the Duke of Edinburgh leadership programs. During his tenure at LCC, Chris has been president of the QAIS and served on the boards of CAIS, Round Square and the Vimy Foundation, which provides unique learning opportunities for young Canadians exploring Canada’s notable WWI legacy. Prior to coming to LCC, Chris served for six years as headmaster at Stanstead College in Quebec’s Eastern Townships. A fluently bilingual Montrealer, Chris graduated from Selwyn House School and from grade 12 at LCC, making him the first alumnus to head Lower Canada College. He pursued his education at Queen’s (BA), Institut Universitaire de Hautes Études Internationales – University of Geneva (Masters in International Affairs) and Brock University in Ontario (Masters in Educational Administration). Chris and his wife, Hilary, have two children: Leah, Pre-U ’06 and Matthew ’07, Pre-U ’08 who are both proud graduates of LCC.
