Please complete the online application. Supporting documents (as indicated on the application) should be uploaded to the form or can be sent by email to our office.

Application Checklist

• A completed online application
• A photo of the applicant 
• A confidential report form (where schools comply)
• Current year and previous year-end report cards (if applicable)
• Readiness test (by appointment and scheduled by the admissions office)
• Applicants born in Canada: A clear copy of the long form version of the student's birth certificate which can be uploaded to the online application. If applicable, both parents’ names must appear.
• Applicants born outside of Canada: A clear copy of the student's birth certificate which can be uploaded to the online application. Note that if the birth certificate is not in English or French, a notarized official translation of the document is required. If applicable, both parents’ names must appear. Also include proof of student's or parent's Canadian citizenship. If the applicant or neither parent possesses Canadian citizenship, Canadian immigration documents must be provided.
• A meeting with a representative from the admissions office
• A non-refundable processing and evaluation fee of $50, payable by cheque, online banking (contact the admissions office for details), money order to Lower Canada College, or by wire transfer (from a financial institution outside Canada only).

We conduct an evaluation to establish the child's readiness for our program.

Kindergarten Readiness Testing takes place by appointment in late November, and decisions will be communicated in early December. The admissions office will be in touch with all applicants. 

The best time to apply is in the fall (i.e., October/November) preceding the year of admission.

The early application deadline for admission to kindergarten in September 2024 is November 17, 2023. The best time to apply is fall 2023.

Round one admission decisions will be communicated on December 8, 2023.

Round two applications will be accepted but readiness testing will proceed only if we anticipate possible changes to our enrolment.

Families applying after the first round of decisions may be applying for a space in the wait pool if enrolment is full.

There are 36 new spaces that become available at the kindergarten level on an annual basis.

We consider a number of criteria when evaluating a student’s file, including:

• Readiness assessment
• The confidential school report form (if available)
• Past report cards (if available)
• Student profile
• Parent/guardian partnership

Round one admission decisions for kindergarten will be communicated on December 8, 2023.
