Celebrating the 2024 Non Nobis Solum Honourees: Tony Fata '84 and Paul Kavanagh '70, Pre-U '71
This year’s Non Nobis Solum Medal and Award honour two remarkable LCC alumni whose impact reaches far beyond the school gates.
Tony Fata ’84, recipient of the 2024 Non Nobis Solum Medal, reflects on how his LCC experience shaped his path—from student to devoted leader in the Alumni Association and Board of Directors. “We all share a tremendous attachment to LCC,” he says, “and that feeling of gratitude and duty is what brought me to volunteer.” Tony’s journey is a powerful reminder of the enduring strength of the LCC community.

Paul Kavanagh ’70, Pre-U ’71, recipient of the Non Nobis Solum Award, has turned a moment of compassion into a national cause. Inspired by a single encounter, Paul founded Operation Veteran, which has since provided over 25,000 meals to Canadian veterans in need. “LCC taught me not to be afraid to ask for help,” he shares—wisdom that helped fuel a movement of generosity and support.
