Middle School

Middle School Pride

At the Middle School level, any student who is interested in leadership can join Middle School Pride, a group that meets weekly to discuss various activities to implement across the school. Initiatives are based on the ideals of Round Square: Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership, and Service.

Student Council

Student Council consists of elected representatives from each grade level in the Middle and Senior School. The Student Council recommends changes in school policy to the headmaster and advocates in the areas of academics, exam schedules, homework issues, course options, the student honour code, dress, nutrition, information technology, and other student rights issues. The Head Girl and Head Boy chair the Friday morning meetings.

Leadership Conferences

LCC is a member of Round Square, a worldwide association of about 180 schools on five continents and in 50 countries that encourages students to push beyond academic excellence to discover and develop their full potential. As a Round Square member, LCC’s Middle School students have the opportunity to attend Young Round Square conferences. Recent conferences include the Colegio Los Nogales in Bogotà, Colombia. They participate in international service projects and can apply for exchanges with other member schools. They also attend an annual leadership CAIS conference (Canadian Accredited Independent Schools) at Camp Onondaga, Minden, Ontario.

Leadership Conferences

LCC students participate in annual leadership conferences with students from across the country and around the globe.
