2017-2018 Achievements

Thank you for supporting our students!

Thirty-nine per cent of our parent population contributed over $298,000 to the ABC Fund, setting a new record for amount raised (up from $150,000 last year) and participation rate!

The impact of our parents' contributions:

The generosity of our parent community has made a difference in our school. Here is where our community chose to give (over $42,000 was designated to other school projects, not described below, according to the donors' requests):

ACADEMICS
With a total of $70,000 allocated to Academics, we purchased additional equipment and tools giving a boost to our existing STEAM-based learning in Junior School, Middle School and Senior School. See the specifics below:

Special Project: Class of 2018 Bursary Fund (Total: $100,000)
Grade 11 parents established this first-of-its-kind parent-driven initiative in honour of their children, which will provide direct financial assistance – in perpetuity – to qualified students who could not otherwise afford an LCC education.

CO-CURRICULARS
A total of $50,000 was allocated to upgrade the newly named Tsatas Fitness Centre, and purchase additional, modern equipment for spinning, yoga and cross fitness. A generous gift from the Tsatas family allowed us to plan for a complete renovation, giving our community a more functional fitness centre.

Class of 2018 Bursary Fund

A first-of-its kind!

The Class of 2018 Bursary is a parent-driven initiative that raised $100,000 in honour of the Class of 2018 Graduates. The Bursary Fund will provide direct financial assistance - in perpetuity - to qualified students who could not otherwise afford an LCC education.

The Bursary Fund is created and invested within the LCC Foundation, and proceeds of up to 5% will be annually disbursed to LCC’s financial aid program.

The Class gift has set an example for others to follow and allowed parents to share their pride of LCC in a meaningful way.
