Be a Game Changer... Support Our Annual Campaign

This year, we have a proposal of exciting projects to enhance the student experience and we need your help. We encourage every family to participate by contributing a gift—of any amount—to one of these initiatives.

Academics

LCC Reads supports the school’s mission of nurturing lifelong learners by cultivating a love of reading. Currently, Middle and Senior School students read the same novel and discuss it in English class. The activity culminates in a final assembly with a guest speaker. The goal of LCC Reads More is to:

• Expand LCC Reads to offer more opportunities to students, including in Junior School and Pre-University
• Invite renowned authors and illustrators to the school for an extended period of time to conduct readings and workshops.

Bursaries

Today, 1 in 7 students from grades 7-11 receives financial aid. A contribution to the bursary fund provides direct assistance to students who would not otherwise be able to afford tuition and allows for a student body with diverse backgrounds and perspective which, in turn, impacts and improves learning.

Special Project: Class of 2019 Bursary Fund (Total: $100,000)
Following the example set by last year’s class, grade 11 parents are being asked to contribute to the Class of 2019 Bursary Fund in honour of their children. This special fund will provide direct financial assistance – in perpetuity – to qualified students who could not otherwise afford an LCC education.

Co-curriculars

The Saputo Auditorium inspires creativity, self-expression and confidence in our students and has been the site of hundreds of theatrical productions, concerts, conferences, assemblies, and other activities. With additional components to improve lighting, sound, and production quality, the space will become more functional and allow our students to truly shine:

• New lights, lighting poles and lenses
• Additional speakers to balance sound
• Rear white screen to enhance projections
• Motorized rigging system to hoist curtains and produce stage effects
